The current principal at Tina-Avalon has been hired as the new Grundy R-5 School District 7-12 principal.
William Dow, who currently resides in Carrollton, has accepted a contract offered to him by the R-5 Board following a meeting on Wednesday night. Dow has been principal at Tina-Avalon for the past three years and has been in education for 11 years. His salary was approved at $65,000.
Dow replaces Randy Huffman, who has been principal at R-5 the past 14 years and will assume his duties on July 1.
