Funeral services for Mike Knapp will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, 2019 at at the Union (Coon Creek) Baptist Church, west of Trenton. Burial will be in the Coon Creek Cemetery.
A family visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019 at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.
Mr. Knapp, a 55-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 8:05 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019 at home.
Mr. Knapp was born on Sept. 9, 1963 at Muscatine, IA, the son of Donald T. and Elnora A. Chrisman Knapp. He graduated from Trenton High School and was employed by Nestle’s of Trenton as a high lift operator.
He was a member of the Union (Coon Creek) Baptist Church.
He was married on Oct. 9, 1983 in Trenton to Sherry Y. Stoops, who survives of the home.
He is also survived by one daughter, Maerissa Knapp of Karen, Kenya; two brothers, Marvin Knapp and Caina Chapman of Trenton and Marc Knapp and his wife, Annette of Polo; his father -in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Barbara Stoops of Trenton; and two sisters-in-law, Laurie Frisbie and her husband, Craig and Stephanie Whitney and her husband, Frank, all of Trenton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Micah D. Knapp; and two sons, Matheson D. Knapp, and Malachi D. Knapp.
