George Etherton, an 83-year-old resident of Siloam Springs, AR, died on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019 at Northwest Medical Center, Springdale, AR.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Etherton was born on March 29, 1935 in Breckenridge, the son of Robert Lee Etherton and Carolyn Goldsby Etherton. He was married on April 18, 1954 to Marilyn Dean, who preceded him in death. He worked for the Rock Island Railroad. They moved to the Siloam Springs area from Trenton in the 1980’s.
Survivors include his sons, Randy Etherton and his wife, Brenda, Bob Etherton and Gary Etherton, all of Siloam Springs; a daughter, Rebecca Etherton of Siloam Springs; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Tina Etherton of Gurdon, AR; and a sister-in-law, Jonalee Stickler and her husband, Kenny of St. Joseph.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Dennis; and two sisters.
