Grundy County Prosecuting Attorney Carrie Lamm Clark has submitted her resignation effective at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 1.
The letter, dated Jan. 16, has been submitted to Missouri Gov. Mike Parson’s office and indicates that she has accepted a full-time position with the Missouri National Guard as an attorney-advisor. Mrs. Clark, a Republican, had just begun her second term as prosecutor, having served her first term from Jan. 1, 2015 through Dec. 31, 2018. Third Circuit Judge Thomas Alley will appoint a prosecutor to fill the term until Gov. Parson appoints one to fill the remainder of the term, which runs through Dec. 31, 2022.
