Fourth Ward Candidate Withdraws

Jan 15, 2019 | Headline News

A candidate for the fourth ward city council race in Trenton has withdrawn.
Bob McIntyre filed paperwork on Tuesday with city hall to not have his name included on the April 2 Trenton city election ballot. That leaves just Jim Bush and John Dolan as the lone candidates for the fourth ward position, which is currently held by Jennifer Hottes.
There are also races in Trenton’s three other wards as well as for the mayor’s position. The candidates include Kenny Weaver and incumbent Glen Briggs, first ward; Robert Romesburg and Danny Brewer, second ward; Harry Kately and Cathie Smith, third ward; and incumbent Dr. Nick McHargue, Larry Porter, Linda Crooks and Rocky Dunkin, mayor. The council positions are four two years while the mayor’s position is a four-year term.
The filing deadline is 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
