Aryn Pajak of the Trenton Boxing Club recently won the Region 5 Silver Gloves Tournament, featuring state champions from Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Illinois.
Pajak (9-10-years-old, 90 pounds), the Missouri state champion, won by walkover over the Nebraska state champion in the semifinals and then defeated Iowa’s state champion, Damian Simms, in the finals by a 5-0 unanimous decision. With the win, Pajak advances to the National Silver Gloves Tournament on Jan. 31-Feb. 3 in Independence.
Parker Findley (9-10-years-old, 55 pounds) was also in action for Trenton, but was disqualified when he came up one pound short of making weight.
