A house in Galt was destroyed in a fire on Wednesday, Jan. 9.
According to Galt Fire Protection District Chief Terry Wynne, the house was owned by Victor Tunnell and the blaze was believed to have started around a wood stove. The family was home at the time, but were able to get out of the house safely, with no injuries reported. The Grundy County Rural Fire Protection District provided mutual aid at the blaze.
