Mary Lou Kalilimoku, an 83-year-old resident of Trenton, died at her home on Tuesday morning, Jan. 1, 2019.
Her body was cremated under the direction of Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home of Trenton. No public services are planned at this time.
Mrs. Kalilimoku was born on March 6, 1935 in Harris, the daughter of Sherman and Lucy Smith Long. She was a graduate from Nevada, IA High School. She worked as a cosmetologist as well as in administrative support at NASA and various U.S. government branches.
She was married on April 26, 1958 at Petaluma, CA to Jeremiah I. Kalilimoku, who preceded her in death on July 4, 2016.
Her survivors include daughters Wendy Barger and her husband, Robert of Trenton and Madonna Leilani Kaleiohi of Kapa’a, Kauai, HI; a brother, Robert Long and his wife, Marilyn of Colo, IA; and three grandchildren, Eric Washenko, Robert Washenko and Leland Barger.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Patty Long.
She was much loved by her family and will be missed dearly.
