Graveside services for Scotty Duane Callen are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
Mr. Callen, a 62-year-old former Galt resident, died on Sunday morning, Nov. 11, 2018 at his home in St. Joseph.
Mr. Callen was born on May 30, 1956 in Trenton, the son of Donald and Nila Stokesberry Callen. He graduated from Grundy R-5 High School and the Electronic Institute of Kansas City. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union #103. He was an avid and excellent pool player and enjoyed working on and showing his cars.
Surviving relatives include his daughter, Ashley Carpenter and her husband, Edgar and grandchildren, Elle and Jack, all of Haymarket, VA; a sister, Tammy Schneider and her husband, Al of St. Joseph; and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial donations are suggested to the family for expenses.
