Robert G. Hague, a 92-year-old resident of Fulton, died on Friday, Nov. 9, 2018 at Presbyterian Manor in Fulton.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018 at the Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Mike Crowson officiating. Burial will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Hague was born on March 20, 1926 in Trenton, the son of James and Lizzy Cooper Hague. He had been married to Elizabeth “Libby” Ann Campbell, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Hague served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Sea Bees 121st Battalion. After the war, he worked for the Rural Electric Association in Trenton before moving to Fulton to open the A&W Root Beer Drive-in, which he ran with his wife, Libby, from 1956 until 1973. They also owned and operated Bob’s Grocery in Jamesport from 1965-66. He worked part time at Gasper’s Restaurant in Kingdom City and full time as a cook for the Fulton State Hospital until his retirement.
He was a member of VFW Post 2657 in Fulton.
He is survived by his son, Ronnie Hague of Fulton; a granddaughter, Melissa Ann (Dan) Bails and two great-grandchildren, Sailor Nicole Bails and Riley Paige Bails, all of Omaha, NE.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and five sisters.
