The Laredo seventh and eighth grade basketball teams scored wins over Pleasant View on Thursday. The Tigers took the girls game 19-18 and the boys game 24-17.
In girls action, Emma Thompson led Laredo with nine points while Astrid Soriano paced Pleasant View with 12 points. The boys game saw Luke Porter with 10 points for Laredo and Gabe Gamble led Pleasant View with seven.
Pleasant View split with Chula on Tuesday, Oct. 30, winning the girls game 33-25, but falling 32-25 in the boys contest. Soriano and Krista Wilson each had 12 points for the Blue Jays in the girls win while Kiefer Tolson scored 15 to lead Pleasant View in the boys loss.
