Bright Futures Volunteer Training

Nov 5, 2018 | Headline News

Bright Futures Trenton will be offering two training sessions for persons interested in volunteering as a Bright Futures mentor in the Trenton R-9 School District.
Superintendent Dan Wiebers will provide the training at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12 and at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, both in the THS Media Center. Those interested in volunteering need only attend one session.
The Bright Futures Volunteer Policy requires a background check, training by district administration and watching the district training video, all of which can be accomplished by attending one of the trainings. There is a small fee for the background check. Volunteers may pay the fee or request that it be paid from Bright Futures funds.
To learn more about this policy, persons can visit the Bright Futures Trenton website, https://trenton.brightfuturesusa.org, and click on “volunteer policy.” Information is also available on the Bright Futures Trenton Facebook page or by contacting coordinator Terri Critten at [email protected].
