The Grundy County Health Department is offering flu vaccine on Tuesdays without an appointment between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The health department has flu vaccine for all ages. including high dose, quadrivalent and pediatric. Individuals are asked to bring their Medicare, Medicaid or health insurance card for billing purposes. Donations are requested from individuals that are not covered by insurance. The cost of this year’s vaccine is $45.
Vaccine supplies are plentiful for 2018-19. This year the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices is recommending a flu shot for everyone over the age of six months.
