Beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 31 and continuing through Friday Nov. 2, Trenton Municipal Utilities will be flushing fire hydrants, which is required annually. By testing the fire hydrants, this helps to update fire protection records.
Work will begin in the area located from Highway 65 east to the city limits. This would entail the Trenton Lake area. Flushing will take place between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Customers can expect some discolored water and air in their house services and are advised to use caution when doing laundry. Over the next few weeks, it will be necessary to run the tap water until it is clear and not do laundry until the water clears.
