Monday’s home match saw Trenton fight back after dropping a close first set. The Bulldogs took the second game to force a third, but Trenton was running on fumes at that point. St. Joseph Christian took advantage, taking the match with a handy 25-12 win in the decisive third game.
On Tuesday in St. Joseph, Trenton battled tough in the opening set again, but the Golden Eagles overwhelmed Trenton in the second game, taking the match in dominating fashion with a 25-6 win in the second game.
No individual statistics were available from either match.
Trenton will be in district action next week in Lexington. The fourth-seeded Bulldogs take on fifth-seeded Carrollton on Monday at 5 p.m.
