The Laredo seventh and eighth grade basketball teams were in action on Thursday night taking on Chula. Laredo topped the Bobcats in the girls contest 20-16, but fell 39-23 in the boys match-up.
For the girls, Laredo was led by seven points from Lainie Lewis and four from Emma Thompson. Chula, meanwhile, got eight points from Mackenzie Blackford and six from Kenlynn Fisher.
Boys action saw Laredo led by eight points from Gabe Novak, six from Kaleb Bower and four from Peyton Moore. Chula’s Kyler Klein led all scorers with 19 points and the Bobcats got 10 from Cooper Murphy and six from Caiden Cabbage.
