The Princeton R-5 Board of Education took action on several items during its meeting on Monday night.
According to information provided by Board Secretary Christy Stockman, approval was given to a purchase and service agreement with Pro-Tech of Kirksville for copiers. The cost is $7,620 per copier, with the high school replacing a current model while the elementary is adding a copier.
Also approved by the board was a new form for documenting tutoring hours as well as the 2018-19 bus route list.
Board members heard a construction update, including the Stacy Center being open for use by both the school district and public. A few small repair items remain to be completed, including a leak at the extension joint. The Jim King track has been completed and is open for public use. Progress is being seen on the elementary school addition that will house the preschool, band and art classes. The flooring is 90 percent complete and many furniture items are being assembled. The school hopes to take possession of the project by the end of the month.
Upcoming activities include parent-teacher conferences on Thursday, Oct. 25 from 1:30 to 7 p.m., with no classes being held on Friday, Oct. 26.
An executive session was held for personnel, with no announcement made.
The next meeting of the board is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 12.
