Charles W. Marshall, an 88-year-old resident of rural Gilman City, died on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 at his home, south of Gilman City.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018 at Blue Ridge Church in Blue Ridge. The body will be cremated following the visitation with inurnment at a later date in the Union Grove Cemetery at Gilman City.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018 at the Roberson Funeral Home at Bethany.
Mr. Marshall was born on Jan. 24, 1930 in Daviess County, the son of A. Wood and Berniece (Wright) Marshall. He was married on April 28, 1957 to Lela Ruth Urton, who preceded him in death on May 7, 2004.
He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a lifelong farmer in the Daviess County area.
Survivors include his two sons, Stephen (Kim) Marshall of Gilman City and Mark Marshall of Palm Springs, CA; a daughter, Jeaneen (Mark) Boyer of Faucett; a daughter-in-law, Glenda Marshall of Gilman City; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Marshall; and his brother, Donald Marshall.
