The Pleasant View R-6 School has recognized its “Blue Jays of the Week” for the past two weeks. Pictured above are, from left, front row, sixth grader Astrid Soriano, fourth grader Camden Skipper; and back row, eighth grader Krista Wilson. Astrid, the daughter of Albert and Jennifer Soriano, was selected for being a great leader. Camden, the son of Jason and Korynn Skipper, was selected for holding the door open for classmates as well as giving up part of his recess to help a teacher with a project. Krista, the daughter of Bill and Kendra Wilson, was selected for standing up for a friend. Pictured below are, from left, front row, third grader Bronsen Pipes, third grader Katie Ferguson; and back row, fifth grader Adam Fender. Bronsen, the son of Jason and Brandi Pipes, was selected for setting a great example by pushing in his chair in the cafeteria so younger students could get by, with his classmates then following his lead. Katie, the daughter of Micah and Erin Ferguson, was recognized for sharing her school supplies with another student. Adam, the son of Vince and Shakira Fender, was selected for holding the door open for a teacher without being asked.
