Trenton Tops Brookfield, Falls To East Buchanan

The Trenton High School volleyball team saw plenty of fellow Bulldogs this week, traveling to face the Brookfield Bulldogs on Monday and playing host to the East Buchanan Bulldogs at home on Tuesday.
vs. EAST BUCHANAN
After scoring an initial 25-15 win in game one, Trenton saw visiting East Buchanan rally back to win game two 25-14 and game three 25-17 to steal the match.
Karli Provorse led Trenton with 10 kills, six blocks, two assists, eight digs and an ace. Teresa Yoder added six kills, 12 digs, an ace, a block and an assist and Melea Farmer had six assists, three aces and seven digs. Saedee Jackson had three kills and 11 digs.
Trenton’s junior varsity lost to East Buchanan 25-23, 10-25, 7-15.
vs. BROOKFIELD
On Monday, Trenton picked up a win over Brookfield on the road, 25-15, 25-8. After fending off Brookfield in the initial game, Trenton sealed the match in dominating fashion, running away with a 17-point victory in game two.
Provorse had four kills, two aces and an assist and Farmer added six assists, three digs and an ace. Yoder had three aces and Laura Carlson, Jackson and Allena Allen all had two kills.
Trenton also won the C match, 25-17, 20-25 and the JV match 25-17, 25-21.
Trenton was home on Thursday, hosting South Harrison. The Bulldogs will be at the Carrollton Tournament on Saturday.
