A check written on a closed account in 2017 has resulted in a Linneus woman being arrested.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office,47-year-old Linda J. Fisk was brought to Grundy County after being arrested in Linn County on a class E felony charge of passing bad checks: closed account. She is accused of writing a $544 check to the Trenton Money Store on May 31, 2017. The account the check was written on at Farmers Bank of Northern Missouri was closed at the time the check was written. Ms. Fisk is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on $1,000 cash-only bond and she is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 9.
