Garald Wayne Johnson, a 94-year-old Trenton resident, died at 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018 at the Edinburg IOOF Cemetery in Edinburg.
A family visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.
Mr. Johnson was born on Dec. 11, 1923 in Suntex, OR, the son of George W. and Iza O. Peterson Johnson. He attended West Plains school and served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.
He was married on March 4, 1962 in Spickard to Helen Langdon. He worked at Tharp’s Sales and Service and with Ed Endecott Carpentry. He also farmed at Cainsville and Mt. Moriah.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Helen of the home; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Georgia Kirkland.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Edinburg IOOF Cemetery. They may be left with or mailed to the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home.
