New Trenton Police Chief Rex Ross received his chief’s badge and lapel pins during a ceremony held on Wednesday afternoon the Grundy County Law Enforcement Center. Chief Ross, who has served with the Trenton Police Department for 29 years, most recently held the rank of lieutenant. He was hired by the Trenton City Council last week and succeeds Tommy Wright, who recently resigned from the position. Pinning the hardware on Chief Ross is his wife, Tracy.
