James Lee Hines a 65-year-old Princeton resident, died on Sunday Sept. 2, 2018 at his home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
A family visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at the mortuary. Open visitation will begin on Friday morning.
Mr. Hines was born on March 15, 1953 in Newtown, the son of Eugene Thomas and Zellah Fern Hines. He was married on June 13, 1971 at Newtown to Mary Ann Stark. He enjoyed going to church, dances, dances, his 1964 Chevy, any type of mechanical work and being with Mary and his family.
He was a lifelong resident of the Princeton and Mercer area. He retired from the highway department after 30 years of service. In retirement he built a shop from the ground up, which he was working on until his death.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Lee Hines and his wife, Meletta of Trenton; a daughter, Cynthia Blake and her husband, John of Trenton; two brothers, Tommy Eugene Hines of Jamesport and Ronnie Leon Hines of Trenton; new-found brothers, Michael Hines, Paul Hines and Patrick Hines, all of Nebraska; a sister, Connie McCully of Nebraska; grandchildren, Jacob Lamp, Joshua Jarrett, Elizabeth Jarrett, Casey Noble, Earl Hines, Tyler Hines and Ryan Hines; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Zachary Ryan Lamp.
