Three Hurt In Accident At Jamesport

Injuries were listed as minor to three persons involved in an accident on Tuesday morning on Highway 6 at the intersection of Route F and Route NN at Jamesport.
Amelia Rick, 40, of Cameron was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton while Mary McCade, 47, of Browning, was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. Ronald Nichols, 77 of  Jamesport, refused medical treatment at the scene.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a van driven by Ms. Rick was eastbound on Route NN and attempted to cross Highway 6 onto Route F and drove in front of an eastbound car driven by Ms. McCade. The van and car collided, with the van then striking a truck driven by Nichols, which was stopped facing northbound. The van and truck received moderate damage while the car was demolished.
The accident was investigated by Trooper J.P. Lynch, assisted by the Sgt. L.M. Allen, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office.
