BTC Bank has made application to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation for approval to establish a branch facility at 1000 Oklahoma Ave. in Trenton.
The 1000 Oklahoma Ave. address is the current address for KFC/Taco Bell. BTC President Doug Fish said it is hoped the new facility can be open in the next 30 to 35 days. He referred to the published address for the bank as a temporary location.
In June, BTC Bank announced plans to locate a branch facility in Trenton with Trenton native Tom Witten as the Trenton Market President. At the time, Fish said the bank planned to look for an existing location to open within 90 days of its announcement, with a long-range plan of constructing a new building.
According to a notice appearing in today’s Republican-Times, interested parties have until Thursday, Sept. 6 to make comment to the FDIC regional director about the branch establishment, with processing of comments being completed no earlier than the 15th day following either the date of the last required publication of the date of the receipt of application by the FDIC, whichever is later. The period may be extended for good cause by the regional director.
