Brenda Rose Tharp, a 62-year-old resident of Laredo, died on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, in Spickard.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 13, 2018 in the Richardson Cemetery at Laredo. Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tharp was born on Dec. 26, 1955 in Trenton, the daughter of Donald Eugene and Rose Marie Klingensmith Washburn. he was a 1972 graduate of Trenton High School and worked as a scheduling coordinator and dietary supervisor at Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton, for many years. She also worked as a secretary for the North 65 Center in Trenton for four years, operating Bingo. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Washburn of Laredo and Alan Tharp and his wife, Jamie of Spickard; one daughter, Ashley Tharp and Warren Roberts of Galt; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Donnie Washburn and his wife, Joyce of Rural Retreat, VA, Brad Washburn and his wife, Timmy of Trenton and David Washburn and his wife, Kris of Trenton; one uncle, Nelson Washburn of California, MO; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and significant other, Stephen “Steve” “Pete” Peterie.
