Aug 7, 2018 | Headline News

Crowder State Park will host programs during the next two weekends.
“Mammals of Missouri” will be the topic of the Saturday, Aug. 11 presentation at the park’s campground amphitheater. During the program, which will be from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m., park staff will share interesting facts about the different types of mammals that make the park their home.
On Saturday, Aug. 18, an “Owl Prowl” program will be presented from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m., also at the amphitheater. Staff will present information about owls found in Missouri, then lead participants on a short hike to see and hear owls in the park.
Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and insect repellent is recommended. Both programs are open to the public.
