Injuries were minor for a Newtown man involved in a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday morning one mile east of Jamesport.
Charles Hartman, 77, was transported to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton for treatment. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said he was the driver of a truck that was northbound on July Avenue and approached an intersection with 330th Street at the same time as a westbound truck driven by Malcon Henke, 16, of Princeton. The Henke truck hit the Hartman truck on the passenger side, with both vehicles coming to rest in the northwest portion of the section. The Henke truck received extensive damage while Hartman’s truck was demolished.
