Karen Carlson, a 75-year-old resident of Klamath Falls, OR and former Trenton resident, died on Monday, July 30, 2018 after a long illness.
A private Celebration of Life service will be held where she will be laid to rest in the California Redwoods.
Mrs. Carlson, an identical twin, was born on June 20, 1943 in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Joseph and Theresa Cook. She moved from Trenton to Oregon in 2016 to be with family. She was involved in her church and enjoyed being a Red Hatter as well as fishing, crocheting and playing Bingo.
Mrs. Carlson was the “mom” to many children, taking in relatives and foster children with an open door policy.
She is survived by her children, Patty (Mike) Stinnett, Kathy Tooley and Richard Jenkins; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Karol Freeman, and her brothers Tom Cook, Dennis Cook, Kenneth Cook and Larry Cook.
