Bettie Sue Nelson, a 76-year-old resident of Gallatin, died on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Cameron Regional Hospital.
Cremation has taken place, a private burial will take place on a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Heritage Funeral Home at Chillicothe.
Mrs. Nelson was born on Sept. 15, 2018 in Chillicothe, the daughter of John Troeger and Elsie Paris Troeger. She was a graduate of Chillicothe High School. She was married on July 23, 1964 in Long Beach, CA to Russell Nelson.
She worked many years as a nurse practitioner. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, motorcycle trips and square dancing.
She is survived by her sons, Dannal “Bud’’ (Shari) Nelson of Kansas City and Russell (Janet) Nelson of Dallas, TX; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister Lora Mae Dowell (Jim) of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Russell; and daughters, Cindy Nelson, Cecelia Nelson and Becky Nelson.
