Trenton City Council To Meet On Monday Night

The Trenton City Council held its regular meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 9 at city hall.
Items on the announced agenda included an ordinance rezoning property at 132 W. Fourth St., an ordinance authorizing an execution of an agreement with Burns and McDonnell for Phase 2 of the wastewater treatment plant improvements, an ordinance authorizing financing from US Bank for purchase of a wheel loader, an ordinance authorizing an agreement with Asphalt Drum Mixers to purchase a new asphalt plant, an ordinance authorizing financing through Community First National Bank for the new asphalt plant purchase, an ordinance authorizing an agreement to purchase a bucket truck from Altec Industries, Inc., two ordinances authorizing agreements with Lamp, Rynearson and Associates for engineering services for various waterline replacement/relocation projects and sewer work on Normal Street, an ordinance amending the city code regarding unregistered motor vehicles, three appointments to the Building and Nuisance Board, approval of transformer bids, approval of wood pole bids and required council training by City Attorney Tara Walker.
