Wesley Retirees Meet

The Wesley Retirees of the Wesley United Methodist met on Wednesday, June 13 with 22 members present. Ed and Mary Holt and Tom Mock were hosts.
Phil Schlarb gave the program on the Grundy County Museum’s Smithsonian traveling exhibit, “Hometown Teams”. The June 30-July 1 weekend will be the last tine to view this Smithsonian exhibit. For the remaining weekends of this museum’s season, “Grundy County’s Hometown Teams” will be expanded and available for viewing between 1:30-4:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Missouri Days weekend.
President John Keith presided over the business meeting. Tom Mock gave an update for Bob Witten on the group’s July 3 trip to Arrow Rock’s Lyceum show, “Crazy Over You.” Cars will leave at 10 a.m. from the parking area of the old KFC.
The next meeting will be held on Aug. 8 with Beverly and Roy Harrison and Barbra Adams as hosts.
