Gearin, Trenton, a class D felony of altering lottery tickets; Donna A. Pigg, Milan, a class E felony of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid, a class B misdemeanor of driving while intoxicated, a class A misdemeanor of operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner involving an accident and operating a motor vehicle for which financial responsibility was not maintained; Keylee Erika Vestal, Trenton, class E felonies of delivery of 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid and hindering prosecution of a felony and a class D felony of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid; Justin L. Burchett, Trenton, a class D felony of third degree assault,class A misdemeanors of resisting arrest, and tampering with property of another, a class B misdemeanor of obstructing government operations and class E felonies of stalking and tampering with a witness in a felony prosecution; Shawn A. Wells, Trenton, a class E felony of property damage and a class D felony of stealing;
Larry E. Brown, Jr., Lakefield, MN, waived formal arraignment and pleaded guilty to escape or attempted escape from confinement, a class E felony, and class D felonies of tampering with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest. He was sentenced to serve three years in the Department of Corrections, with the sentences to run concurrently.
Rodney W. Cranor, Trenton, had a two-day jury trial set for Nov. 1 on three class D felonies of second degree burglary.
Matthew J. Woody, Trenton, pleaded guilty to class E felonies of unlawful use of a weapon (exhibiting) and unlawful use of a weapon (loaded weapon while intoxicated) and class D felonies of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana, third degree assault (special victim) and escape or attempted escape from confinement by striking a person. Sentencing was set for Aug. 9.
Amber Bottcher, Bethany, admitted violating the terms of her probation on an original charge of endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs, a class C felony. Her probation was continued with additional conditions including court-ordered detention sanctions, with the court retaining jurisdiction for 120 days.
Donald Brown, Milan, admitted violating the terms of his probation on 12 class C felony counts of passing bad checks. His probation was continued with additional conditions.
Patrick Oyler, Wheeling, admitted violating the terms of his probation on an original charge of non-support, a class D felony. His probation was continued with additional conditions, including the condition that he pay $200 per month toward the amount in arrears.
Stanley Patterson, Trenton, admitted violating the terms of his probation on class D felonies of driving while intoxicated (persistent offender) and driving while revoked or suspended. His probation was continued with additional conditions.
Lynn D. Shipley, Gallatin, admitted violating the terms of his probation on an original charge of failing to register as a sex offender as required, a class E felony. His probation was continued with additional conditions.
Paul Burstert, Hale, admitted violating the terms of his probation on an original charge of passing bad checks, a class C felony. His probation was continued with the additional condition that he pay $100 monthly payments toward costs and restitution.
Bently V. Ralston, Trenton, admitted violating the terms of his probation on an original charge of stealing, a class C felony. He is scheduled to appear in court July 12.
William K. Swartz, Trenton, admitted violating the terms of his probation on an original charge of second degree burglary, a class C felony. His probation was revoked and he was sentenced to serve seven years in the Department of Corrections. Execution of the sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for five years, with the additional condition that he pay $300 per month toward costs and restitution. He also admitted violating the terms of his probation on original charges of stealing, a class C felony, and property damage, a class D felony. His probation was continued on those charges.
Austin L. Frisbie, Cainsville, had his motion to set aside his sentence on a conviction for driving while intoxicated, a class B misdemeanor, sustained. Imposition of his sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for two years and is to pay $350 to the Grundy County Law Enforcement Fund and have no contact with Monica Proctor. He had earlier pleaded guilty to the charge.
Joseph S. Parr, Cameron, changed his plea to guilty on a charge of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid, a class D felony. Sentencing was set for Aug. 9.
Civil Court
Courtney M. Eaton vs. Director of Revenue. The court found that the petitioner does not pose a threat to public safety and should be given the opportunity to obtain a Missouri driver’s license by applying for and meeting all licensing requirements.
