R-7 Extends Superintendent Contract

The Tri-County R-7 Board of Education offered a contract to the superintendent during a meeting on Thursday, June 7.
The board voted to offer a new three-year contract to Superintendent David Probasco through the 2020-21 school year. Probasco’s current salary of $83,500 was not increased.
The board approved contracts for OT/PT and speech services for next year and agreed to seeks bids for milk, bread, diesel fuel and gasoline. Bids for custodial services were reviewed, but no action was taken. Updated student and employee handbooks for the 2018-19 school year were reviewed and the budget was discussed. There was also an executive session for legal and personnel matters.
The board will meet at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 29 to close out the current school year. The next regular meeting will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11.
Both meetings will be in the superintedent’s office at the school in Jamesport.
