Music Festival Is Rotary Topic

Andrea McKown presented the program on the Mid-America Music Festival during the Thursday, June 7 meeting of the Trenton Rotary Club.
Mrs. McKown told about the festival, which will be held on Friday, July 27 and Saturday, July 28 on the grounds of the Black Silo Winery. This is the second year for the event, with this year’s proceeds going to help the Green Hills Women’s Shelter build a new facility in Trenton. To help with the fundraiser, Ultimate Festival Experience tickets are being sold with only 100 tickets available. The $1,000 cost includes a chance to win a truck as well as two tickets for the entire weekend of the festival, a VIP parking or camping/RV sport, air-conditioned seating and free food and beverages.
There are also daily passes available for purchase. Tent, RV and car camping will also be available.
Gates open each day at noon, with bands starting at 2:15 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday. Friday is devoted to rock and blues, with the feature band being Black Stone Cherry. Saturday’ is devoted to bluegrass and country, with the feature performer being Uncle Kracker. Other bands set to perform are Hired Gun, Centerline, Members Only, Them Dirty Roses and Bishop Gun on Friday and Slow Leak, Kasey Tyndall, Pat Cooper Band, Hailey Whitters, Hudson Moore, Scooter Brown Band and Stoney LaRue on Saturday.
There will also be food trucks, vendors, wine tastings, a beer garden, hot air balloon rides and a fireworks show.
