Transit Study Under Way

May 24, 2018 | Announcements

The Missouri Department of Transportation is again contracting with regional planning commissions throughout the state to prepare a regional transit study which will be used to evaluate the public transit needs of the citizens as well as available transit services.
In the 11-county Green Hills Region (Mercer, Harrison, Putnam, Daviess, Grundy, Sullivan, Linn, Livingston, Caldwell, Chariton, Carroll and Linn counties) the Green Hills Regional Planning Commission is contracted to prepare the plan. Public input is vital to the quality of the plan along with input from service providers and businesses. A meeting to discuss the region’s public transit system will be held at 10 a.m. June 6 at the RPC office at 1104 Main St. in Trenton. All users of OATS and other public transit services are invited to attend, as well as service organizations and the interested public.
Those not able to attend are encouraged to complete a survey at: Green Hills RPC Public Transit Customer Survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VPXYCLZ. Questions regarding the Transit Study may be directed to Jackie Soptic, GHRPC Assistant Director at [email protected] or 660-359-5636 ext. 12.
