Animal Shelter Fundraiser

Volunteers with the Green Hills Animal Shelter will be taking to the streets this weekend to solicit donations at three intersections in Trenton.
The volunteers will be at the intersections of Ninth and Main streets, 28th Street and Oklahoma Avenue and Oklahoma Avenue and Highway 6 near ShopKo on Friday evening and all day Saturday. Motorists are asked to watch for volunteers, who will be wearing safety vests at the locations. The campaign, “Money for Mutts” will raise funds to support care for dogs and cats housed at the not-for-profit local shelter, where there are currently 48 dogs, five puppies, 39 cats and 26 kittens housed.
