Preparations are under way for the 2018 opening of the Trenton Family Aquatic Center on Saturday, May 26.
Hours will be from 1 to 6 p.m. daily. Prices for single admission and season passes remain the same as last year. Daily admission is $5 for persons ages two to 54, while those age 55 and over will be charged $2.50. Admission is free for children under the age of two.
The cost for a single season pass is $70 with a season pass for a family of four costing $190. Individuals can be added to the family pass at a cost of $40 per person. Lap swim and senior passes are available for $20 and all passes can be purchased at the aquatic center during regular hours.
Pool manager Alexis Whitney is reminding persons that the air temperature must be at least 70 degrees in order for the aquatic center to open for the day. If the aquatic center is open and there are not at least 25 swimmers there at the 1:50 p.m. break, the pool will close for the rest of the day. Miss Whitney said persons who purchase an individual admission on a day when the pool closes at 1:50 p.m. will be given a one-day pass to swim on another day.
Swimming lessons will be held this year at the aquatic center, with the times being announced once the schedule has been completed.
