Judge Steven D. Hudson
William N. Griffin, Trenton, admitted violating the terms of his probation on original charges of third degree assault, a class C misdemeanor, and driving while intoxicated, a class B misdemeanor. His probation was revoked and he was sentenced to serve six months in the Grundy County Detention Center, with credit given for one day served. Execution of the remaining jail time was suspended and he was placed on probation for two years. His conditions include successfully completing SATOP, attending AA once a week and preparing and presenting at least three programs to a group of young adults about alcohol and the effects on one’s life.
Civil Court
Capital One Bank (NA) vs. Glen Briggs. The court entered a consent judgment in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $1,390.15. The case involved breach of contract.
Saint Luke’s Health System vs. Jacquelyn M. Carley. The court entered a consent judgment in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $9,531.58 on count I; $2,339.31 on count II; and $1,220 on count III.
Bank of America NA vs. Wilmer Gingerich. The court entered a default judgment in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $13,918.45. The case involved a suit on account.
Capitol Financial vs. Cynthia A. Jarrett aka Cynthia Blake. The court entered an order for revival of a judgment. The case involved breach of contract.
The New Liberty Hospital District vs. Stephanie J. Weaver. The court entered a default judgment in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $20,855.25. The case involved breach of contract.
Midwestern Health vs. Wilbur Roberts, Jr. and Carla Roberts. The court entered a consent judgment in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $5,043 on count I; $500 on count II; $2,551 on count III; and $357.11 on count IV.
The following defendants pleaded guilty to their charges and paid their fines through the Fine Collection Center, with their names provided to the Republican-Times:
Pleading guilty to speeding and fined $30.50 were Sarah L. Carey, Princeton, and Bobbie J. Novak, Galt.
Pleading guilty to not wearing a seat belt and fined $10 were Hannah L. Chapman, Milan; Justin T. Cima, LaPlata; Zachary R. Cox, Gallatin; and Tonya M. Truitt, Trenton.
Linda S. Wilcox, Trenton, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $80.50. She also pleaded guilty to not wearing a seat belt and was fined $10.
Darrell L. Williams II, Loving, TX, pleaded guilty to failing to display plates on a motor vehicle and was fined $30.50. He also pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $55.50.
Lane Winsor, Trenton, pleaded guilty to activities in violation in a non-designated conservation area and was fined $49.50.
