Reid Stephens has been hired to take over the Polo football program from Kyle Ross, who is stepping aside after being promoted to the school’s superintendent.
Stephens has been an assistant coach at Chillicothe for the past six years and will be a math teacher at Polo as well as the Panthers’ head football coach. He is a former postmaster at Trenton.
The Panthers are coming off of a 5-5 season in which they were 3-4 in the Grand River Conference. Polo last won a GRC title in 2015 when they were tri-champions with South Harrison and then 11-man King City.
