Laredo Board Adjusts Salary Schedule

The Laredo R-7 Board of Education took action on several personnel items during a special meeting on Wednesday night.
According to information provided by Administrator Misty Foster, the board added three more stops to the salary schedule for teachers having a master’s degree. The schedule is now capped at 25 years at the master’s level and 15 years at the bachelor’s degree level.
The board approved a 2.5 percent increase in salary for Mrs. Foster. Her salary for the 2018-19 school year will be $57,785.
An extra duty contract was approved for Shelly Burress as the I-Ready program coordinator. Interviews with candidates for the secretary/bookkeeper position were held, with an announcement to be made at a later date.
The board voted to pay up to $400 per employee for health insurance next year, with three options being available. Mike Keith Insurance will continue to be the district provider.
The board discussed transportation, but took no action.
The next regular meeting of the board is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Monday, May 14 at the school.

The Princeton R-5 Board of Education met in closed session on Wednesday morning for personnel.
According to Board Secretary Christy Stockman, there was no announcement from the meeting.
The next meeting of the board is scheduled for Monday, May 14.
