A veterans service officer will be present in Trenton on Monday, April 2 and Friday, April 6 to assist veterans with any paperwork they may have.
A service officer will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday at the Trenton Hy-Vee to help with VA paperwork. Those needing help are asked to bring all paperwork they have as well as their military separation papers.
The service officer will be at the Joseph L. Norton Post No. 919 VFW Hall on April 6 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. A counselor will also be available. Those needing assistance are asked to bring any paperwork they may have, including military separation papers. Active military are always welcome to attend.
A counselor will also be available on April 6 from 8 a.m. to noon to provide free, confidential help to veterans and families of active duty military in need of counseling. Stress management, PTSD and marriage counseling are areas that can be addressed.
A service officer is also available in Trenton on Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Persons can call 359-2078 to schedule an appointment or to receive more information.
