The Trenton Rotary Club met on Thursday at the First Christian Church fellowship hall.
President Andrea Merrin conducted the business meeting. Elizabeth Gibson led the group in singing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” and Chris Hoffman had the prayer.
Club President-Elect Dr. Lenny Klaver reported on his attendance at the PETS and SETS training session last weekend in Jefferson City for all newly-elected Rotary presidents and secretaries throughout the state. Also attending was Assistant District Governor Phil Hoffman. The new Rotary year begins on July 1.
Members were reminded that donations to the Shoes for Orphan Souls project will be accepted through the April 5 meeting. It was announced that the May 31 social will be held at the Thompson Farm near Spickard and will include a tour of the farm, which is owned by the University of Missouri.
Next week’s program chairman is Rick Klinginsmith, whose program will feature Eagle Scout candidate Elijah Merrin.
