The Grundy County Commission accepted bids for CART rock and mowing during a meeting held Tuesday at the courthouse.
The board accepted a bid from Norris Quarries for CART rock. It was the only bid received this year. In addition, a bid from K&J Mowing (Kevin Klinginsmith) was accepted for mowing of county-owned properties. The cost, per mow, for all seven properties is $275 and is broken down as follows: courthouse, $40; prosecutor’s office, $20; Grundy County Law Enforcement Center, $20; Road and Bridge Building, $60; Bethel Cemetery, $90; Wynne Cemetery, $35; and Sires Cemetery, $30. The bid was the lowest complete bid of three received, with another bid including only the road and bridge and cemeteries.
