The Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra will begin preparation for the upcoming summer concert, with rehearsals beginning next month.
“The Music of Living” is the theme of this year’s concert, which will be held on Saturday, June 16.
Rehearsals will begin Tuesday, April 17 for both the choir and orchestra at the Hodge Presbyterian Church. Practices begin at 6:30 p.m. and end around 8:30 p.m.
Registration for both the choir and orchestra will be one-half hour before practice begins. There is a $10 participation fee to help with the rental of music.
Most of the orchestra instrumentation will be returning, but there is always interest in new talent. String instruments are in great demand. All vocal ranges from bass to soprano are also needed to enhance the musical performance.
