Housekeeping duties were taken care of by the Trenton Rotary Club during a meeting on Thursday.
The scheduled program was unable to be presented, so members shared information about Rotary-related activities. Assistant District Gov. Phil Hoffman told about recent training he attended and asked members to be thinking about a grant project the club could do next year as additional funding is to be available. Diane Lowrey reminded members of the Shoes for Orphan Souls shoe collection project, with the club asking members to provide at least two pairs of new shoes through the month of March. The shoes are to be presented to orphaned children in Guatemala and Peru. Chris Hoffman also shared a humorous story about a goat and an eagle.
Next week’s program chairman is Chris Hoffman. It will be Ag Day and the program will be about Tabletop Farms, a farm to table venture being developed by a local couple.
