S.M. Rissler Elementary School students raised $7,986 for the American Heart Association during the annual “Jump Rope for Heart” event held at the school during their physical education classes. The third grade raised the most money by grade level, $1,858, while Ms. McCartney’s third grade class was the class that raised the most, $625. Individually, Emma Christenson raised $325 to take top honors. In the past 11 years since the program has been held, Rissler Elementary School has raised $87,709.81. David Sager is the Rissler physical education instructor. In the top photo are the top three teams in the second grade including, from left, front row, Sam Wiebers, Johanna Goodin and Payton Hanes, first place with 969 jumps (Aidan Spencer was absent), middle row, Malachi Kottwitz, Lynnzi McCullough and Braden May, second place with 886 jumps; and back row, Bella White, Jaydon Hendricks and Lillee Dalrymple, third place with 860 jumps. In the middle photo are the top three teams in the third grade including, from left, front row, Alyxis Wood, Micah Clear and Lillian Ortega, first place with 1,048 jumps; middle row, Harley Parkhurst, Sage Foster, Graeme Sager and Ryeland Kirk, second place with 977 jumps; and back row, Carter Callahan, Lilly Golden, Lydia Smiley and Dillon Hurt, third place with 935 jumps. In the bottom photo are the top three teams from the fourth grade including, from left, front row, Elijah Miller, Kaidence Griffith, Lillian Spears and Aryn Pajak, first place with 1,210 jumps; middle row, Brandilyn Brittain, Payton Foster, Rylan Ebersold and Ivan Michael, second place with 1,149 jumps; and back row, Allie Woodworth, Koana Lawrence, Payton Selby and Josie Tuggle, third place with 1,146 jumps.
