S.M. Rissler Elementary School students raised $7,986 for the American Heart Association during the annual “Jump Rope for Heart” event held at the school during their physical education classes. The third grade raised the most money by grade level, $1,858, while Ms. McCartney’s third grade class was the class that raised the most, $625. Individually, Emma Christenson raised $325 to take top honors. In the past 11 years since the program has been held, Rissler Elementary School has raised $87,709.81. David Sager is the Rissler physical education instructor.
