The Pleasant View R-6 Board of Education held a special meeting on Tuesday afternoon to address two items.
According to information provided by Superintendent Rebecca Steinhoff, the board met via a group text due to Tuesday’s inclement weather. During the meeting, approval was given to transferring $350,000 to a certificate of deposit with Home Exchange Bank in Jamesport for a period of one year with an interest rate of 2.1 percent. Also approved was a bid from AT&T to provide telephone service to the school for the 2018-19 school year.
Mrs. Steinhoff informed board members that March 8 will be the make-up date for a fifth and sixth grade basketball game with Chula that had to be postponed due to the weather. The game will be played at R-6.
The next regular school board meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 13.
