Because of the inclement weather and several area schools calling off classes, the Grundy County Spelling Bee scheduled for today has been postponed.
A new date is to be announced later.
Students from the Trenton R-9, Laredo R-7, Pleasant View R-6 and Grundy R-5 school districts were scheduled to take part in the event, which was to be held at the R-5 Elementary School at Humphreys.
